The Zonenkinder Collective ‒ right now located in Hamburg ‒ was formed around the year 2000 by two human beings who love to bring their different styles and thinking together. Our „Graffiti-careers“ started in the early nineties and since 2001 we had several group- and solo-exhibitions all over Europe. In June 09 it is time to go overseas and show our mural art beside our brandnew studio-works during a Solo-Show at McCaig Welles Gallery, NYC. After returning we are happy to be part of the amazing Urban Affairs 2009 in our beloved Berlin.

Deeply-rooted in the figural aspects of what is called HipHop-Graffiti / Urban Art, contemporary painting and illustration our works focus on transforming the environment by our artworx, taking walls, things, allday subjects, trees out of the context and give new meanings to them and to the spaces and places we come across. For our inside worx we often use different objects (garbage, trees, rocks...) and other materials which we integrate in our murals, installations and canvases. Spontaneity and a lack of determined concepts is an integral part of our work. Our sometimes popsurreal paintings and installations thereby aim to to rise above the normal course of everyday reality.
